Amongst the popular international sports hosted in London every year is Tennis, held in the beautiful village of Wimbledon. Recent years has seen popular champions like the Williams sisters ( Serena & Venus)
Its quite a while since London hosted an Olympic (last one was in 1948) however UK at large does offer a great deal of excellent sport and great players to include the likes of football legends like David Beckham and Wyne Rooney etc.
This in essence is a long awaited opportunity which has been received with great expectation not only by Londoners but by the rest of the world.
So What Does Olympic 2012 Mean To Londoners And UK?
London has track record of holding big events, but probably not one of this scale.
This means the Body commissioned to undertake the project have had a hard job of planning, strategy to raise funds and ensuring the project is completed in good time. They have worked hard given the facts of great recession, and despite the great financial meltdown, a wonderful regeneration of East London has taken place and soon a new face of London will emerge.
It has also meant temporary job opportunities have been created ,and a brand new village, which will mean some more jobs in the future and more promotion of sports in London, and of course more accommodation facilities
So What Does Olympic 2012 Mean To Rest Of The World?
It obviously means a visit to London
This may also mean having a golden opportunity to do shopping in London

What Does All This Mean Then
It means London will rock the world ,given the energy Londoners have in whatever they set their mind to.
It’s a city like no other, a metro city that has almost each and every nation in the world represented.
A city that has all commonwealth countries represented, where yellow, black, white etc are united by language .
A city in which almost everyone can speak English, which happen to be the common language(as it happens to be in England, the birth place of English language), and those who can not strive to learn it in various ways.
